Today’s blog is devoted to shopaholics who are in search for the perfect shopping Mecca. Although some may disagree, Hong Kong just screams shopping galore so there’s no doubt that it should be in your list of top shopping destinations in the world. When you are in Hong Kong, you are always besieged by signs that say, “50% off,” “Removal sale!” “Winter sale,” “Last Day Sale!” Name it, they have it.

Hong Kong is the first place that comes to mind when we need electronics. It’s common knowledge that gadgets in Hong Kong have the lowest rates because of the 0% sales tax policy. For instance, I got my Macbook Pro 17″ at $500 cheaper than the price in Manila. They also threw in some freebies such as bluetooth mouse, mouse pad, upgraded my memory, and gave me a laptop case. My husband also got a good deal for his Nikon D300 at $400 cheaper than the market rate. My Canon IXUS was also bought for a much lesser price. It was a lot of savings considering all freebies we got!
