Thank you for stopping by my blog. My name is Althea Tan and I author Living Together Blog. I wanted to post a decent, solo photo as my profile picture but I like the current photo as it is because my husband is in it. My father-in-law took this picture during our Singapore trip in 2008.

I live in the Bay Area but I grew up in a remote town in Iloilo City, Philippines, where I lived all my life until I moved to Manila in 1997 for university and law school. In 2007, I married my then-boyfriend-now-husband in Iloilo City and renewed our vows twice in 2008 (yes, we got married three times!). We lived in Makati and Iloilo before moving to the Bay Area.

I like photography, good movies, good novels, and good food (if you’re a good cook, we’ll be friends for sure). I also like to travel and would love to live in different cities someday.

I started Living Together Blog in early 2007 shortly before my husband and I got married, although I’ve been blogging since 1998. We intended to co-author this blog but we got busy and missed blogging for months. Instead of watching this blog die a slow death, I finally decided to reclaim ownership of it — this time as the sole author. Surprisingly, after more than three years, a baby, a business venture, and a transition to another country, this blog is still alive.

My husband and I co-founded a search engine marketing company in 2007 and in December 2009, we opened our office in San Francisco. For more information on our company, please visit our website.
