Off to Hong Kong

I don’t like to travel when it rains. But it is raining. Hard. With thunderstorms.
We are at theNAIA’s Mabuhay Lounge, waiting for our flight to HKG. Our plane doesn’t leave until 2:20PM, which means we still have some 30 minutes to read magazines, eat carbs and surf the Internet. The Mabuhay Lounge is a convenient place for people like us who need to do last-minute emails [as if we couldn't do it abroad] to associates [read: wedding planner and writers] and family members. Actually I’m not doing any of that.
We arrived in Manila this morning from Iloilo and immediately checked in our baggage before we go straight to Greenbelt 3 for late breakfast. It seems to me that Starbucks GB3 is the place to be when we’re in Makati. The place reminds me of many years spent with friends, classmates, ex-boyfriends and my husband, when we were dating until I was pregnant with our son. I feel comfortable in that place but there’s no feeling of nostalgia. It has reduced into a hangout place, no more no less.
Instead of watching Narnia, I decided to check my Globelines account at Globe Greenbelt. I was surprised to see that I still have outstanding balance when I already disconnected my account in March before we relocated to Iloilo! After two hours of searching online, all the CSR could do was print out my statement of account. So much for customer service!
Anyway, I should settle everything when I go back to Manila.
We’re excited about our trip to HK although we know from CNN weather that it will be raining cats and dogs when arrive there. I can’t wait to visit Apple, grab some swags and haggle for some cheap finds. If I’m lucky, I’ll get a pair of Jimmy Choos too!
I’m not so thrilled with the city tour. I am looking forward to “on our own” days and nights where we try to unravel whatever is in store for us.
I almost laughed on the part of “eating carbs” hehehe
