Can’t Decide What To Buy? Sleep On It!
Whenever I think of buying something online and even at the local stores, I usually end up debating with myself for days whether to buy the item or not. There are occasions, however, where I instantly grab the item that I like but good thing this only applies to very affordable stuff. There are times thought that I still think that my husband and I are spending more that what we should spend, especially on perishable items that usually end up in the trash bin after a few days.
The problem is, whenever we are at the department store, we always end up buying whatever we see without the initial intention of buying them. I guess the easiest thing to do to avoid that is to change is our shopping behavior. One tip is to start listing down the items that we need before we even rush to the supermarket. A shopping list can be a valuable money-saving tool because it makes us think first before we buy. For those who are often undecided on what to buy, the best time to make a shopping list is on the night before we sleep so we can go over it again the next day and decide again in case we change our mind on some items. This does not solely apply to going to the supermarket but to shopping in general.
If we do this consistently, I’m sure we will soon notice a change in our shopping habits that may have positive effects on our overall-spending behavior.

my hubby always tells me, “if you see something you like at a store, get it na.” kasi daw, chances are, when you go back for it, it is gone na. you know what, oftentimes, he is right. and i end up angry at myself for not buying it the last time.
ako naman, what i keep in mind, if i came back for it and the item isnt there anymore, then it wasnt meant to be mine in the first place. hehehe..
I totally agree! Good thing a lot of stores now accept item reservations. They are willing to hold the item for you for 3 days. I always do that for potentially big purchases. If I still need it after 3 days, then I will go get it.
Take note that I used the word “need” and not “want”
Have a blessed weekend!
p.s. I hope you and Amrin are safe from the Glorietta bombing. Take care.
